What is your primary or favorite genre to write? – Inspirational “with an edge” romance and women’s fiction.

Do you have other genres you write for? – I also write non-fiction.

Which project is your favorite so far? Why? – That’s hard to answer because I love all of my completed books! I guess you could say my favorite is the one not-yet-finished because I’m open to the surprises that come from the writing and getting to know my characters.

How long have you been writing? – I’ve been writing for nearly forty years and published for twenty plus.

Where is your favorite place to write? – At my desk but I have been known to write using the note feature on my phone while traveling or longhand in five-subject notebooks or a binder.

What kind of atmosphere do you need? Quiet, music, coffee, wine? Any tricks to get in the zone? – I must have QUIET or perhaps a little background noise (fan, tv, or radio in another room, etc,) to get in the zone. Sometimes water or coffee but other than that, no special drinks or beverages.

What genres do you prefer to read? – Romance is about the only genre I’ll read and many romance sub-genres (suspense, historical, etc), however, on average I read more spiritual non-fiction than anything else.

What’s your favorite book or movie? Book(s) – The Born in Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Movie(s) – Pretty Woman and A Few Good Men – two different ends of the genre spectrum I know but those two are my all-time favorites!

What do you do for fun when you’re not writing? – Camping, reading, horseback riding, hiking, traveling.
