Featuring Carol Malone, author

Award-winning author, Carol Malone, writes humorous tales of romance, suspense, and adventure to challenge women and men to triumph over their doubts and fears. When not hammering out new adventures, Carol is reading suspenseful romance and switching between a baseball game and a Hallmark movie on TV.

What genres do you like to read? – Clean romance, mysteries, and historicals

Do you have a favorite book or movie? – No. I like too many to pick just one.

Which is your favorite mode of writing? Why? – I like writing sprints. I like to think on my feet and having a time limit.

What is your primary or favorite genre to write? – romance

Do you have other genres you write for? – mystery, historical, and contemporary

Which project is your favorite so far? Why? – my laptop at night and my desktop by day

How long have you been writing? What does your path look like? – Since I was in high school. No year given. I wanted to publish a book on Amazon. Goal accomplished.

Where is your favorite place to write? What kind of atmosphere do you need? Quiet, music, coffee, wine? Any tricks to get in the zone? – I usually write on my desktop in my office mostly with music, soft old rock, ABBA, Neil Diamond, America, BeeGees, Eagles, etc. I like to warm up with sprints which usually knocks loose more writing than in the allotted time.

What do you do for fun when you’re not writing? – Watching Dodger baseball, reading, and watching romances on Hallmark.

Diana’s note: Carol was a recent student of mine, taking my Bringing Abundance Into Your Life class, which was based on my book, Finding Your Fire & Keeping It Hot. Carol was an absolute star in that class, telling me at the end of it that I had changed her life. She had become one of her own characters–where they triumph over their doubts and fears. I can’t wait to see how she moves forward with her writing career now because she’s on fire!
