I’m a Michigan author who loves science fiction romance, romantic suspense, and cozy mysteries. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, and most sci-fi movies plus romantic comedies. That’s why my books contain humor along with suspense and/or a mystery.

What is your primary or favorite genre to write? – Sci-fi romance

Do you have other genres you write for? – Romantic suspense and mysteries

Which project is your favorite so far?  Why? – One Red Shoe. It was a fun book to write, even though it took over 10 years to get it published; now I have the rights back and am self-publishing it.

How long have you been writing? – About 25 years

Where is your favorite place to write? What kind of atmosphere do you need? Quiet, music, coffee, wine? Any tricks to get in the zone? – Favorite place is my reclining sofa, laptop on my knees. Since my best time to write is in the morning, I need coffee; water for the rest of the day. I need quiet. Music is okay if it has no words—too distracting. To get into the zone, I reread the last couple of pages I wrote the day before, then I plunge in.

What genres do you prefer to read? – Romantic suspense and cozy mysteries (with humor); science fiction romance; military suspense.

What’s your favorite book or movie? – Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (book and movie)

What do you do for fun when you’re not writing? – Watch movies or binge-watch TV shows on Netflix.
